The Secretariat Yangon

The Beginning of the Renovations

When the Myanmar government relocated the capital to Nay Pyi Taw in 2005, the complex was mostly abandoned and left to decay behind locked gates and imposing fences.

The Secretariat Conservation Group is private group formed with well-established conservation specialists who undertakes restoration works of historical landmarks and monuments in order to restore the Secretariat Yangon as a culture complex.
