The Secretariat Yangon is one of the most iconic buildings in Yangon. Having played a significant role in the country’s history since its opening in 1889, the building has been saved from dereliction by a comprehensive restoration project start from mid of 2016 , ensuring the preservation of this magnificent structure for the benefit of future generations.
In order to achieve long-term sustainability, the building is being re-positioned for a range of contemporary uses, including cultural museums, art galleries, offices, retail, restaurant, and café facilities.
